This was the #passportneeded that Rolo tweeted about. I kind of figured it might be an Australian since I don't think American Samoans need a passport.

Max Hendrie has great combination of size and speed. I'm glad UH has reestablished the connection, especially with Paul Manera. Manera has sent some good ones.

Could be a good DE. Would he have the instincts for LB or RB?

Might have it for RB because of his rugby background. He would need to learn how a running play is designed as well as pass blocking concepts. Defense might be a bigger challenge since it involves reading keys and reacting. DE would probably be easier to learn than LB.

I'm glad that Rolo is able to get this pipeline opened again. His predecessor appeared to have turned off the spigot.

He's a good athlete. He'll have time to be coached, my club played against him a couple of times this year and he definitely has the things that can't be coached like height and aggressiveness. Not a RB, definitely an End or OLB IMO. We cut him and ran a lot of kick out blocks against him when we played this club but he will get a lot better. The standard, as always, is not particularly high here; they probably just looked at his rugby film.

Pass rusher on passing downs. That is one of the positions Rolo is looking for. Once he gets his technique down and learns the system could end up playing all downs. With his speed could earn a spot on special teams early on.
Not doubting, not hating, not loving, just hoping because I am a fan.

Welcome Max, the (Road) Warrior!

Maybe he can punt, too. He looks pretty big/tall next to Coach Naeole. Look at the size of Coach's paws, though. Those are some meathooks.

I look forward to seeing Max in action.

Yup......having shaken hands a few times with those meathooks. Lucky for me that Naeole is a cool guy.....'cuz he would crush my hand if he wanted to. Reminds me of my handshakes with the late great Skippa Diaz!

On the sports animals, Rolo said he told Hendrie to go watch JJ Watts and Gronkowski on youtube. :D
