Alec Waterhous Charitable Trust donates in excess of 1 mil!

"Thanks to a very generous donation by the Waterhouse Charitable Trust, Nā Koa was able to raise nearly $1.28 million in fiscal year 2015 that just ended on 30 June. We anticipated ending the year in the black for the third year in a row and with the help of the Waterhouse Trust and your support, we have accomplished that goal with flying colors.

Further adding to the bottom line were membership dollars and fundraisers which led to revenue of approximately $550,000. Your membership accounted for nearly 40% of that total and showed the team that the community continues to support their hard work in the classroom and on the field. Our members are the foundation and we thank you for your commitment to the team and helping the program compete in a very challenging and ever-changing landscape of Division I athletics." ----- more

Truth be told, it was a collaborative effort on the part of Na Koa (staff and board members) and Coach Chow that did the heavy lifting. Matlin helped close the deal but it was Na Koa and Coach Chow that got the ball rolling.
