wittek #1 qb

wittek was taking the alpha snaps during spring practice. pretty obvious even then.

still, the o line will need to give him at least five seconds of protection and the receiving corps need to get into the open lanes way under five seconds to give wittek a chance to finish the season.

Here's hoping he plays better in Aloha Stadium than the last time he played there. I'm skeptically optimistic on Wittek...we've fallen for the hype of a new QB every off-season of the Chow era. I'll believe it when I see it.

Another of Chow's hyped up prospects? I hear these tales before.

Well Wittek has what Schroeder and Graham didn't, real game experience.

His selection as Phil Steele's 1st team QB just put the bullseye on the uniform of Wittek. Defenders will avoid Clark and go for Wittek from everywhere else. Might be ugly.

Ohio State and Wisconsin will be ugly. We should just plan on starting Woolsey for those games and let Wittek come in during the second half..

The rest of the schedule will be at our level so anything is possible in those games.

In addition, physically, he has what Shroeder lacked: an arm, and what Graham lacked: durability. Of course that can change if he doesn't get any protection.

What good QBs did Wittek beat out?

It doesn't matter.. he's #1... and the #1 QB is always the prime target. BUT, if history repeats itself and the team underperforms, that title won't last long. But, has anyone really heard much about all the other MWC quarterbacks for this upcoming season?

Well aren't you the optomist.

Look, I don't believe in Chow to turn things around, but I do believe in the players to do it.

808Hawaii was an optimist until Chowball began.
