I'm gonna go with Rolo and Lelie. But the most memorable game performance IMO was Chang and Owens against Michgan St.

All were great duos. Heck you could add Brennan and Rivers.

Brennan-Bess. The great era of UH football, and those two were instrumental in making it happen.

Moniz-Salas was sneaky great.

I actually wanted to add Brennan/rivers and Brennan/grice mullens.
Felt like going with the duo's that people thought when they played those teams.

I'll go Brennan-Bess, although Rolo-Lelie was indeed exciting.

I vote for TC to CO bc he made big plays and there was excitement every-time he touched the ball.

I have a vivid memory of Mighty Mouse pulling away from a Michigan State Safety, who played with my college teammate in high school in NJ...that guy ran a 10.7 100 meter in high school. SICK!

Hard question, TC to CO gets my vote, those last 3 games in 2004 is what does it for me, combining for 10 TD (not including CO 2 punt returns for TD 2) in must win games against Big10 teams and the bowl game. Rolo and Lelie would be #2. They had good chemistry as well and that 2001 Fresno game is one that I will remember till the day I day.

#3 would be Brennan-Bess, they were good, but the bigger games belong to Brennan-Rivers. #4 Salas and Moniz-Salas. Salas was going to make any QB look good, but not winning the bowl game in 2010 drops them on my list.

Too late now, since you would lose all prior votes, but could have also included Dan Robinson/Dwight Carter combo from the 1999 season.

...and none for Moniz-Salas. Some people may dock Bryant for not being as good as Brennan, but IMO he was as good as Chang, if not the better talent.

Sure, penalize Moniz for losing the 2010 Hawaii Bowl. If that's the case, why not penalize Chang for his historically awful beat downs in 2004? (@Boise St. 3-69, @Fresno St. 14-70) Chang was a favorite of mine, but let's not make like his era was a flawless adventure. He had some stinkers. If he and Owens didn't save the day vs. Northwestern and Michigan State, his legacy might be a bit different than it is now.

Too bad that 2010 Hawaii Bowl vs. Tulsa went awry fast. That 2010 team was one of the best UH teams ever.

I went with the Chang/Owens combo because seeing 2 local boys light it up was something special.
I feel this was the shift that helped to shape how Hawaii high schools moved from the triple option to the 4 wide set.

And Mack wouldn't have had such a short leash the following year
