Re: Elimimian gets his chance at UH
Happy to have a former Warrior back instead of coaches from BYU/Utah. I hope he can have an impact on recruiting the LA area, which has tons of talent.

Whatever happens to Chow after/during the upcoming season, at least Abe will have a year of FBS coaching experience on his resume. Welcome back Abe!

Who cares if they're from BYU/Utah, is Naeole from there? If you're from Hawaii wouldn't you bring in Hawaii people. Look at Kahuku.

If you paid attention, NC only fished in his old BYU/Utah ponds for coaches, so I am happy he looked elsewhere.amela wrote:Who cares if they're from BYU/Utah, is Naeole from there? If you're from Hawaii wouldn't you bring in Hawaii people. Look at Kahuku.
If I were a coach, I'd bring in the most qualified and perhaps give an edge to a local boy if everything else was equal. I am Team Lead in Operations and Program Management, but wouldn't hire my friend bc he's not qualified. The quickest way to lose your management position is to hire low performers/unqualified ppl.

Good to see a former UH player on the staff. They are all over the college football scene except for at UH.Palolo_2LA wrote:If you paid attention, NC only fished in his old BYU/Utah ponds for coaches, so I am happy he looked elsewhere.amela wrote:Who cares if they're from BYU/Utah, is Naeole from there? In addition to his alma mater Crenshaw HS, hopefully Abe can also build recruiting ties with the more successful HS programs (Dorsey HS, Carson HS, Narbonne HS, Serra HS, etc.) from South Central and the South Bay……as well as Long Beach (LB Poly, LB Jordan, Lakewood, etc.).

Duke you are losing it....I count 4 from Utah on your incomplete list...you know how to count? Gouveia went to BYU...played with my Uncle Michael Nuamu) on the 84 team.TheDuke wrote:Not sure where you are getting your info from. You omitted Keith Uperesa (Utah) , Brad Jones (BYU), Powell (Utah) . That makes 8 coaches from Utah....I also see only 1 person from UH. The addition of Eil makes 2.
