Very talented back. Excited to see him come to Hawaii. What are the chances he picks Hawaii?

W/ no other offers, maybe good. As a prefered walk-on, youre just like another student but the football program knows who you are and has a spot for you? If that's the case, he'd have to pay out of state tuition and all that, which will add up at Oregon.

I thought I read that Apelu sighed a LOI with Oregon as a preferred walk on. If that's correct how does that impact his ability to enroll at UH instead?

Is there such a thing as a LOI as a preferred walkon? Maybe it's a letter committing a non-scholarship spot on the team. My friend's daughter received on of those and signed it at the PIAA ceremony. Only formal National Letters of Intent (which offer scholarships) are binding on the student-athlete. Even scholarship agreements are not binding on the student-athlete.JustMyOpinion wrote:I thought I read that Apelu sighed a LOI with Oregon as a preferred walk on.
