Just saw on Solomon's twitter that he is committing to Hawaii

@sxmatautia - I am now officially committed to the University to Hawaii #gobows

I saw he was committed to Oregon State on 8/29/14

Also hoping that.....the UH coaches are at least taking a look at the other Matautia.....also a LB.....Ronald......at least as a possible invited walk-on.....

Nothing against Kapolei......but you can take the player out of Waianae......but JMHO that you can't take that Waianae toughness out of the player.

I love the idea of coverting a larger SS to OLB to provide speed/range to the position. Speed @ the edge is important as illustrated when the Nevada QB ran outside and was unstoppable. He probably needs to add 20 lbs to deal with TE and pulling OL. Glad another local stud is staying home.

When I saw him play in high school olb is where I thought he should be. He is like a heat seeking missile.

Glad he's in...will probably make an impact on special teams and hope he can play some SS on short yardage and sub packages
