I remember that crystal clear. I wasn't sure how to felt after hearing that.808Hawaii wrote: Let me refresh your memory. And also apologize for bringing back bad memories for you. Remember running up the middle even though we didn't have the hogs up front? Run up the middle. Run up the middle. Run up the middle. This ring a bell? That's what Chow does and the only way chow knows how to coach. He said that himself in Year 1. Chow said if the fans knew football, it's not all the same play. There are different blocking schemes on each play. Well, I may not know football as well as he does but I can tell him his plays don't work.

We need a change or spark or something different. Not sure if Beau is ready, but we can't get any worse.
At the SDSU game I saw first hand Ikaika's "jumpiness". He doesn't set his feet and slide in the pocket. He jumps, tilts and crosses his feet, which hinder his timing and throwing.

I don't care if Reilly is "ready" or not. If he's our savior, he'll show it out there and make plays regardless of not knowing the playbook.
Re: Beau Reilly Starting?
Totally incorrect. Woolsey is very close to break out.Neighbor wrote:I don't care if Reilly is "ready" or not. If he's our savior, he'll show it out there and make plays regardless of not knowing the playbook.
I expect 237 yards passing with 2 TD's along with one TD rushing.

Some posters make predictions based solely on UH being their favorite team. Not only that, they tell others they're wrong without even basing their opinions on anything.

Tsai writes that Chow said he will not redshirt Reilly this season.

But regarding Reilly redshirting, I thought I read or watched those interview videos and Chow subtly mentioned that it was higher ups that wanted Reilly to keep his redshirt for the year

Re: Beau Reilly Starting?
I'd like to see Reilly start, since Woosley doesn't seem to be working.
Re: Beau Reilly Starting?
Yup we need to start Beau Reilly to at least know what he can do - start him then see how he does during the first half and if he does not work out then go back to Woolsey in the second half. That way at least you know, ok Woolsey is the best we got and there's nothing else we can do about it... However if Reilly can't do it, I'd also play Prater and see what he can do and if they both can't then at least you know now Woolsey is the best we got and although sad, that's how it goes... On the other hand, what if Reilly or Prater show the necessary decision making skills to be successful - then you may have a four year starter although Wittek comes in next year... At the least next year you have at least two or three capable QBs in Reilly, Prater and/or Wittek... Freshmen can play - Marcus Mariota, Timmy Chang, Johnny Manziel, Jameis Winston, etc.

And also he has the maturity as a person that I'm sure he can handle it. Isn't he like already 22 years old as a Freshman? Cause he served in the Mormon missionary. Start him now. Develop him. At his age, his prime with be playing for UH.quikfeat wrote:Freshmen can play - Marcus Mariota, Timmy Chang, Johnny Manziel, Jameis Winston, etc.
Re: Beau Reilly Starting?
You got to know if Chow starts Reilly they are going to run the ball.
Not doubting, not hating, not loving, just hoping because I am a fan.
