Beau Reilly Starting?
KKEA 1420 apparently reported that Reilly likely will start. But supposedly Tsai said Woolsey took all the snaps today. I didn't hear either report. Did anyone hear these reports and what was said?

Re: Beau Reilly Starting?
Maybe it's the gameplan for this week. Start Beau....and bring in Ikaika for one half to light them up. It worked last week!
Jokes aside. I heard this this afternoon too. Can't seem to find too many places confirming.

he's not starting.
When in doubt, burn it down.

He took all the first team snaps on Tuesday and Wednesday...not sure on Thursday though. I'm not sure if he's actually starting or if Ikaika is just recovering. But the kid is the real deal. He will be Hawaii's next star QB.

I wonder if he worked with the first team to get more reps. I can't see him starting over Ikaika.

Re: Beau Reilly Starting?
Ikaika is obviously pretty banged up. Banged up enough so that he didn't throw any balls till Thursday. So, it's a good possibility that they might start Reilly and see what he can do and put Ikaika in if Beau can't move the ball.

SAN DIEGO — Ikaika Woolsey or Beau Reilly?
If Woolsey is in good health, he’s expected to start. He was in good health during yesterday’s practice, taking most of the first-team reps. If Woolsey isn’t in good health, Reilly is ready to go. Reilly took most of the first-team reps during the past week.

That's what we were told about Graham.Egonator wrote:He took all the first team snaps on Tuesday and Wednesday...not sure on Thursday though. I'm not sure if he's actually starting or if Ikaika is just recovering. But the kid is the real deal. He will be Hawaii's next star QB.

Not sure about Chow's future. I would get this guy in early with real game experience. He is 6'6". And a real Chow's pick. Develop him. If Chow can hang for two more years, this kid may be a monster QB. Size does matter. Don't wait till he a Jr before gaining experience and then we will say...Reilly sucks.
Re: Beau Reilly Starting?
You need a good QB coach to develop a young QB. We didn't see any development in Ikaika - still off-target on passes and can't see open receivers. Someone has to work with and develop our young players. I feel bad for our players.cabanalane wrote:Not sure about Chow's future. I would get this guy in early with real game experience. He is 6'6". Re: Beau Reilly Starting?
Can someone refresh my memory? Chows offense was never really the problem in the past years. Not saying it was great, but it was this horrible. I felt defense improved a lot. And the offense just dropped off - injuries or not.
Didn't Chow ran the offense too the last few years?

Re: Beau Reilly Starting?
Let me refresh your memory. And also apologize for bringing back bad memories for you. Remember running up the middle even though we didn't have the hogs up front? Run up the middle. Run up the middle. Run up the middle. This ring a bell? That's what Chow does and the only way chow knows how to coach. He said that himself in Year 1. Chow said if the fans knew football, it's not all the same play. There are different blocking schemes on each play. Well, I may not know football as well as he does but I can tell him his plays don't work.cabanalane wrote:Can someone refresh my memory? Chows offense was never really the problem in the past years. Re: Beau Reilly Starting?
Have we ever run a draw play? Although I doubt it'd work because no one would bite on our pathetic passing game
Re: Beau Reilly Starting?
What's so disgusting to hear is media praising Woolsey for playing hurt.
Damn it, if the guy is not good at 100%, why keep him in all game if he's hurt?
Also Bobby and Gary D saying they are looking to preserve Beau's redshirt year. WTH?
Beau should have gotten a shot.
