Given this guy is a freshman and he missed some assignments, I must say I was rather pleased with the move up the ladder to start over 5th year senior CB Dee Maggitt.
Dee did played well on Special Teams, I think Nick earned his stripes.

The word was out already. Dee was being picked on. It's good to let someone else get picked on. At least Nelson is young and has a chance to develop.

He did play well for a true freshman. However, Nelson needs to improve on being ready to make a play on the ball. When the deep passes were completed on him, he never looked for the ball even as the receiver looked up.
