2 positives

Post by Irse »

1) we won't lose next week (I think)
2) Clune has a 2 year contract. Been liking how the D plays and the halftime adjustments he makes. That's two shutouts in the second half against PAC 12 schools.

The D gets better as the game moves on.
“Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checked by failure...than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.”

From other MWC games I have seen so far I think our dline should be able to handle anyone we may go up against.
Not doubting, not hating, not loving, just hoping because I am a fan.

UH is 2/3 of the way to being really good.

Actually, they are a QB away. Even the announcer acknowledged that the concepts were good but the QBs were off.

I sort of agree with you there except that Northern Iowa game kind of gave me concern when our Warriors gave up two sacks and had to scramble a number of other times. But for the most part, they should hold up and give up no more than two sacks per game on average.... which is pretty standard.

O line pass protection is somewhat of an illusion. Colorado coach gave away the strategy on Woosley and Higgins. Keep him in the pocket, Spy him with DTs for scrambles. He cannot beat the defense from the pocket.

If it were Graham, UH would see more blitzes. Then we would see if the line is a bright spot.
