I think that he had a back injury. I don't know if he is medically retired or if he is still going to try to play next season.

Pretty sure they'll play Kennedy at nose...I disagree as hes too small, but the boy is STRONG. Can he put on 15 good lbs?uhwarriors wrote:Heard the same thing about a back injury.My3Cats wrote:I think that he had a back injury. Mike is still around. Still on the team. Just trying to nurse his way back from his injury. I'm sure he will be in the Spring mix.

I hope so. He looks like a bull (no rodeo pun intended).bigislandkurt wrote:Mike is still around. Still on the team. Just trying to nurse his way back from his injury. I'm sure he will be in the Spring mix.

He came in at 270 lbs. running a 40 time of 4.6 sec and the last I saw him listed was something like 310 lbs. so he is in the DT position at that size - hopefully his speed is still at least a 4.8-4.9 since that would be AWESOME at 310 lbs.
With Moses Samia and Marcus Malepeai graduating at DT, hopefully Andrade can play this coming year.
What about Calen Friel at 6'2" 320 lbs. who was a junior last year?
David Fangupo? The 300 lbs. + RB who is currently at Cerritos College as a Freshman - hopefully he can transfer this year since we need some DT's. And mix him in a little at RB in short yardage situations.
UH has to recruit some JC DT's this year who can play right away.

If he didn't qualify out of hs, he needs an AA.

Re: what happen to mike adrade
Without solid gap fillers, the defense will be pushed around against the run again. It makes the LBs job harder when the DL can't keep the point because it forces LBs to shed OL men before making a tackle. Tough proposition. Please get some quick, strong DL recruits ASAP!
