Ewaliko to practice as slot per Tsai. I'd like to see what he can do there for the next 4 years.

Re: UH Quarterback on Defense?
you never know but if his arm is pretty decent, they could do trick plays with him like they do with iosefa
Re: UH Quarterback on Defense?
There is a big difference between D1 college football and HS football. Everyone is bigger and FASTER.
At the D1 level you need all the tools. What does having a mobile QB mean? It really means that you have a QB that can pass the ball.......and then he has the ability to run the ball. All the QBs mentioned as mobile QBs could pass the ball.
At the D1 level if you can't pass the ball EFFECTIVELY they will stuff the run and force you to pass. They will force you to your weakness where mistakes are made. And as a QB the mistake is an INT.
A good D coordinator will know your weaknesses and scheme that way.
If you can't throw long he will D the run and short passes and force you to go long. If you can't run, he will give you the run. There are no secrets at this level. We want a QB to 1) make good decisions. The alternative is a turnover. 2) make all the throws, accurately. 3) we want mobility. 4) has experience.
Every team is searching for the total package.

I hope they put him behind Harding and have him learn that position. I could see it eventually being an upgrade.415hawaiiboy wrote:Ewaliko to practice as slot per Tsai. I'd like to see what he can do there for the next 4 years.
Not doubting, not hating, not loving, just hoping because I am a fan.

No forget that Wittek is waiting for his acceptance into school. If he gets in anything can happen. Norm has not named a starter yet. And remember what happened when Shroeder got here.

Wittek has to redshirt this year since he didn't graduate in the spring.
