(Wittek have decided to leave USC after he graduates at the end of this semester and will transfer to another school. He will still have 2 years to play 2 and can play right away because he will have graduated from USC.)

I am confused here. The title of the post says Max Wittek has interest in transferring to UH but in the post it says UH is interested in having him. Does this kid even have a little interest in coming to Hawaii because i've heard that really big schools are offering him.

NOTE: Louisville just got Penn St transfer Tyler Ferguson and signed a Dual Threat QB to new Coach Bobby Petrino's Spread offense. Max was looking for a team that run a pro style offense :-

Reports: Texas Longhorns Adding QB Depth In Walk-On Bram Kohlhausen
February 4, 2014 12:06 pm EST by Kris Hughes

According to several reports, former Lamar High School star, Houston Cougars backup and 2012 LA Harbor Community College starting quarterback Bram Kolhausen will walk on at the University of Texas, but will not sign a letter of intent. Kohlhausen was a high school star for Lamar, throwing for 2,301 yards, and 31 touchdowns over two seasons, earning him a rating among the top 200 quarterbacks in the state of Texas during his senior year in 2011.
.
.
.
With a quarterback competition sure to be in the works between David Ash, Tyrone Swoopes and Jerrod Heard, the addition of the experienced Kohlhausen into the mix adds an experience factor which was obviously missing in the gap between Ash as a redshirt junior and Swoopes as a sophomore.

Stephen Tsai said on the Warrior Beat that UH didn't contact him. He contacted UH.

Wittek says he'll also visit Louisville, Hawaii and maybe others before starting to narrow his decision in a month or so.

Wittek said. "Hawaii has Norm Chow who has produced tremendous quarterbacks. These coaches, their names carry a lot of weight in the world of football. If you get their blessing, those are things that mean a lot. Those are all factors that will go into my decision."

Getting him would be huge. A 4 Star with two-years of experience at USC....yeah, his numbers weren't great but they were better than Sean Schroeder, and SS ended up pretty dam good.

I would gladly welcome Max Wittek to join the Warrior Ohana. It may not be likely with the choices that he has in transfer schools, but he does have recent PAC 12 playing experience in a pro style offense. It took Sean Schroeder until his second year with a full year of experience behind him after shaking off the rust of not playing a game since high school, and Taylor Graham is still shaking off the rust of not playing much since high school as well. Taylor unfortunately sustained an injury which delayed his progression in his first year.

Bleacher Report says Wittek would be a solid fit for UH

Post by caleyear01 »

Here is the link to the article if you want to read it:
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1959 ... max-wittek

To pretty much summarize the article it talks about how UH would be Wittek's best picks because he is guaranteed a starting position as soon as he gets here. Also it talks about how he would fit perfectly in Norm Chow's offense. Then it talks about how he will most likely not come here because Hawaii has a history of great quarterbacks that didn't have any success in the NFL so that will scare him away from UH.

What do you guys think? I honestly think that Wittek probably won't choose Hawaii because the team hasn't shown any improvement or upside under Norm Chow. If he does come here than that would be cool. Now I am not saying great because I don't want to do what these guys do on the local radio, they overrate these players that commit to UH. I remember when the UH Men's basketball team got that center out of China and the guys on the radio made a big deal about him. It turned out he was a huge bust. We don't even know if Wittek is going to be a bust yet so if he comes to UH to play we will just have to see.

I don't think this reporter did his homework. Still thinks UH is running the run and shoot.

"The downside, however, is the fact that big numbers in the Warriors' system hasn't translated to NFL success. . . Players like Timmy Chang and Colt Brennan were able to put up eye-popping stats at Hawaii, yet neither made an impact as a professional. If Wittek has the tools to succeed then he'll do just that, but nobody will believe it regardless of how well he performs as a Warrior; they'll chalk it up to the "system" and make him prove it at the combine and beyond."
