Victim of the Coaching Change?

Post by bigislandkurt »

Remember this guy?

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/8196 ... -a-godsend

I had high hopes for him. I thought he'd go down as one of the great black QB's who have played for UH, joining the ranks of those like Ralph Cherry, Warren Jones, and Mike Carter.

Schroeder appears to have turned a corner after the Navy game. But QB play in the Chow era has been anything but admirable. I wonder what Stump would have done in Chow's offense?

kinda stopped reading here.

let's not go there. The Scout boards already blew up on this one.

Victims? How about David Graves and Cayman Shutter? Plus all the players recruited for the RNS. Norm couldn't be flexible and adapt his offense to the players already here. Cause that's what a good coach would do. But no. He shoved his "square" offense into a damn circle expecting it to work. And well you know what happened.

So victims. Yeah there's plenty.

David Graves just signed with the German Football League to be a quarterback and flew there last week. He may have had 2 or 3 practices (or none) with the team. Their first game was this past weekend. David scored 3 TD's and rushed 100 yds. He said he felt a bit rusty.

He graduated from the Univ of Hawaii in May 2013. He was a qb coach for a Hawaii high school for their 2013 season. The school had a good season. He hopes to go back to qb coaching for them after this stint of playing in Germany.

He continues to follow his football dreams.

Looks like it's the Cologne Crocodiles of the GFL2

Story on this page http://www.cologne-crocodiles.de/?p=2906 describes their latest win. Graves' name is mentioned a couple of times.

Former Warrior Tyler Graunke played in the GFL league. Would like to see David continue to live his dream like Tyler did

Madeinhawaii,

Yes, it is the Cologne Crocodiles. It looks like they have the same team colors as Cal Poly -- green and gold.

David knows no German. I suspect most of them are fluent in English.

Wow, a friend of mine played for the crocodiles last season. I hope he can adapt quickly to the game and life over here.
