The team will not make it a moral victory, Kaumeyers Hawaii defense needs to step it up, 2 games giving up 500+ yards and a lot of points is a tall order for any offense to overcome. Trayvon Henderson face mask penalty was huge with less than a minute. Defense has lost its stoutness, needs to find a way to get it back. The running game is pathetic and ball security for the WR and RB needs work.
The positive:
Sean Schroeder is a gamer! Tough as nails and a heart of a champion. Sean led another huge point deficit comeback and the D gave up the "W". Chris Gant, Scott Harding, Clark Evans are clutch and tough as tanks. The O line is getting better but still needs improvement. The passing game is on fire, this team has competitive in the past 3 games and should be getting better every game the rest of the season. This team has heart and won't go down without a fight! Go Warriors!
Evans is not clutch. He was cherping early on and was getting in peoples faces early on in the game. It was just a matter of time the ref would throw a flag. His stupid penalty is the kind that is unacceptable.
although a stupid penalty was called on jim I really enjoyed how fired up he was show some fight no matter what
that's the difference between a well coached team and poorly coached team. players can be fired up without costing the team a 15 yard penalty. players can be young and excited and not have penalties. we just aren't there yet.
The 6th different starting OL line-up in 6 games. It's just been a case of musical chairs with the OL line-up thus far.
Probably the reason why there's still so many false starts from the OL.
Since season is now already half over......hopefully the staring OL line-up is finally set.....so that the OL unit can maybe develop some level of continuity.
Those who saw the closing minute of play - On third and 10 at the UNLV 45, the Rebels were held to a three-yard gain, but Trayvon Henderson was flagged for a facemask penalty to give UNLV a first down at the Hawaii 37. If Trayvon did NOT make that tackle would the UNLV guy have gone all the way? If he was about to miss the tackle, was it a necessary gamble to give the Warriors their best chance at winning?
