Best Dline out of Hawaii - NIKO NOGA. Then, Al Noga.
So, Sablan could be another Soares or Paredes? Hope so.

If Kawehi gets his shot I no doubt he can contribute to this defense. Hes good at his reads against the run, pretty quick off the LOS, good wrap up tackler, fluid in coverage he looks more like a Mike than Will IMO.Grinch wrote:Best Dline out of Hawaii - NIKO NOGA. Then, Al Noga.

When you consider best local DL recruit while they were still in highschool, what about that kid from Kamehameha, Casey Kunitomo or something like that? Whatever happened to him? I vaguely recall that he did enroll at UH, then sort of disappeared off the radar - kind of small as I recall, but a beast in his highschool days.

Kunitomo was a huge get. I think he was actually on the team for 4 or 5 years but missed whole seasons because he was plagued by knee and shoulder injuries at UH. He lettered in 1977.Haynr8dr wrote:When you consider best local DL recruit while they were still in highschool, what about that kid from Kamehameha, Casey Kunitomo or something like that? Dejon Allen we can all say is the top offensive lineman/defensive lineman this guy had 22 offers his junior year then commited to Arizona state he played against offensive lineman that are going to USC AS WE SPEAK..
so over all if you pay attention you could see what we have on our hands.
im also excited about taylor Graham

Can't wait to see Tigi Hill finally put on the green and white, I think he will bring some unique versatility that our other safeties haven't shown.
I also think John Wa'a, David Griffin, Kennedy Tulimaseali'i, and Dejon Allen are game changers in the trenches.
