Height and speed (for a big guy).
Re: 2012 Day 81 – Darius Bright
Actually, I'm rooting for Darius to have a breakout year. Despite last years disappointment, you have to realize that he was injured in oh so many ways. For those of us who are weekend warriors, injuries take away from playing your best and I have had more than my share over the years.
Cats don't have owners. Cats have servants.
Re: 2012 Day 81 – Darius Bright
you can't run on a bum turf toe. Ouch! I also hope he has a great year.
Re: 2012 Day 81 – Darius Bright
Okay now I kinda remember. He needs to work on his hands a bit and work on the jump ball.
Re: 2012 Day 81 – Darius Bright
This offense fits him better than the R&S did.
I'm not saying he'll be some superstar, but when UH moved from the Von Appen era to the JJ era, there were a lot of previously irrelevant players that emerged as play makers fans won't ever forget. Darius might have been a dud in the Mack era, but he could be a big piece of the beginning of the Chow era.
Important people from last season might not be so important anymore, and vice versa.

Re: 2012 Day 81 – Darius Bright
During the 2011 spring practice, Bright looked very promising. While he was still learning the offense, you could see the possibilities. His size and speed along with adequate hands were very intriguing. Unfortunately he had turf toe and broken ribs injuries which really hindered his play.
He was limited during the 2012 spring practice because of a wrist injury. But he definitely is the most dangerous TE/F we have. I expect him to make some big plays this year.

I totally agree.
Injury and suspension hampered Bright's contribution last year.
It had nothing to do with Mack or the R&S.

What? I didn't say Mack or the R&S were his problem.SundayJam wrote: Totally disagree.

Re: 2012 Day 81 – Darius Bright
Just watched some highlights from the UDUB game and he actually had some nice plays. Actually, all of our players were looking good in the first two games. Then we lose to UNLV and everything falls apart.
Edit: lol just saw his drop on the 2-point conversion.

Do tell. What dost thou sayeth, Oh master of double-speak?
Darius Bright is a big guy. He could be a big piece of the Chow era. However, with only one year of eligibility left, I seriously doubt it. I do hope that D-Bright proves me wrong.
Re: 2012 Day 81 – Darius Bright
Reading comprehension issues? I said this pro-style system that Norm runs is better suited to Darius' abilities, not that the R&S offense was a primary issue for him. I also didn't say Mack was a problem for Darius, but that he was a dud in his two year stint during the Mack era. I think most would agree Darius underwhelmed last season.SundayJam wrote: Okay...
