The ESPN site lists Duke, Northwestern, Texas Tech, and Boise State but no Idaho. I guess things are pretty fluid this early.Sportsbow wrote:It's beginning to start. To me QB, punters and kickers are guys who can go OAM and not skip a beat. Linemen can get too heavy others may lose speed. Remember Dan Robinson went. Do did a slew of BYU guys and that dude who left Utah St and beat Hawaii last year. Plus in 2 years Graves and Shutter will be gone and Graham and Higgins will be seniors. Regardless Welcome AZhawaiiBoy808 wrote:he seems like a fine prospect but if he goes on his mission do you think it will effect his mental part of the game, being away from it for 2 years?

Regardless of whether he starts or not, this is a great start. I hope this begins a trend where Norm has 3-4 highly regarded QBs going at it, not just one with a couple of overachieves.

I guess but being away from the game and the speed his timing would be off and his reads because he wouldnt see any 7s or anything. To me linemen can go OAM and not skip a beat because all they need to worry about is their strength and speed but the mental game is not a big issue. QBs need to have that mental edge that cant be just turned on and off.
Re: 4* QB, Aaron Zwahlen commits to UH.
But hawaiiboy, jus wondering, how would the linemen keep their strength and speed? I maybe wrong, but I don't think they work out much on missions except walking or riding a bike? I'd think QBs would be ok. Again, jmho.

I just think the mental aspect of a QB is hard to keep sharp if you are not in the game. Thats why alot of Qbs redshirt because physically they might have it all but mentally they might need some more time.

Aaron Zwahlen
The above link tracks UH commit's high school football games.
Looking at the box scores-he threw for 12 TD's in the first 2 games.

12 td's in 2 games but 5 picks also. Hopefully that gets a little closer to 3/1 by the end of the season

Don't be surprised if he ends up at BYU.
