They also were around and may have even had significant PT in list provided by BigWave9674... That's a lot of games to make "A" and not learn from
Really? I could have sworn that ST said only one player was left over from the Sugar Bowl year. Maybe he meant starter or actually player...) Red shirts are more like fans, many don't become starters. Only four are starters, three are doing well, Lefiti is the only one struggling as center ... possibly due to inexperience in that position. The rest of the team (18 members) don't have that memory.

Shane Austin.. Red shirt 2007.. not on team (not a starter this year)
Joe Avery ... red shirt 2007 .. not on team (not a starter this year)
Kenny Estes.... played three games in 2007... ( not a starter, minimal contribution either way)
Austin Hansen... red shirt 2007 ... not on team ... currently not playing... (could have made a difference!)
Clayton Laurel... red shirt 2007 .. not on team (One of the brighter spots on the OL, has held his own )

Jett Jasper ... redshirt 2007... not on team (not a starter this year)
Sila Lefiti .... redshirt 2007... not on team (not doing too well as center)
Vaughn Meatoga ... redshirt 2007 .. not on team (One of the brighter spots on the team, has held his own )
Royce Pollard ... redshirt 2007 .. not on team (One of the brighter spots on the Offense, has contributed well.)
Alasi Toilolo ... redshirt 2007 .. not on team (Not a starter this season)

He was 0-12 in 1998 only. He won 3 games in 1997 for a 3-9 record. 5-31 overall in 3 years.

To answer OP's question, it far and away has to be this year's UNLV game. Favored by 22 and losing by 20. The guys looked like they were lost and in a trance?

2nd would be last years Tulsa game. We were ESPN's "sure bet", the most likely team to win their Bowl game out of the Country's 35 Bowls. Didn't work out that way, gave up 65 friggin' points??!! Arrgghh!

This years UNLV game. There was no reason or excuse to have been man handled by a team that lost most of their games. I could care less about the spread.
“Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checked by failure...than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.”

If Mack gets to coach right through 2012, it will be the first year in which all the players are players that he and his staff had the responsibility of recruiting. That would be the fair thing to do...to at least let him show what he can do with a team solely comprised of his recruits that he and his coaching team has been responsible for grooming.

whether they keep him or not, i think a decision needs to be made by the end of this season. just letting him finish out his contract and keep him in limbo will hurt the recruiting big time for next year. if theyre gonna stay with him in 2012 i think they have to extend his contract.
