*** ALERT!!! TUNE TO 256 INSTEAD OF 255 FOR THE UH/UDUB GAME

I just got off the phone with OCEANIC and they said they have been experiencing problems with channel 255 and 1255 (HD) since Thursday. They are still working on the signal so they said to do the following:
1) Tune in to channel 256 or 1256 (HD).
2) If you set your DVR, you MUST set it from it's original time from 7:30 to 1pm.
3) Alter the end time to 1 hour later (should the game run into overtime)
If you don't do the following and leave it on 255 or 1255 you may either get a weak or NO Signal. Also if you try and set your DVR to start at 9:30 (kickoff) it will probably not record.
Finally if you want to record future Warrior Games, the earliest you can set your DVD is on Thursday or 36 hours prior to the event.

Also Oceanic is being bombarded by folks having problems ordering or tuning into the UH Game. I wanted over an hour to get Customer Support on line. That time will only get longer as kickoff time draws nearer.
There will be a lot of angy people tomorrow who will tune into their DVR and find snow or a black screen instead of the Warrior game

Is there still a way to even set specific times to record? That's probably my biggest grumble about the new system

Thank you for the info. I'm about to head out to work and I would be extremely upset if I came home to a problematic recording! What's somewhat annoying is that they didn't bother to let us know through either phone/email etc...

Is anything on your guys screens now? just bought on 1255 and nothing but a black screen on 1255 and 1256, usually lame music and some sort of screensaver in the background.... 255 and 256 have the buy now pop up.

Thx for heads up! Oceanic gotta hire more staff for customer support - at least on certain days. I've waited an hour in the past, even getting disconnected after waiting half hour.

bump..... the 55 channels were the only channels to order from through tv. the 56's say to call.... called and expecting to get a call back in 15min..... damn
