is Hawaii looking at QB Broughan Jantz?

Post by BigWave96744 »

From the hints from Stephen Tsai's WarriorBeat: :)
- Someone with a familiar name? As in brother of former Warrior Steele Jantz?

- will have 3 years of eligibility? Broughhan grayshirted at San Francisco City College in 2010 and looking to start this fall as a true frosh. could come in the spring and have 4 years to play 3

- OC Nick Rolovich played and coached at the same JC

- he is 6'2" and in 2010 was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 29th round
If he doesn't fit, Trap could pick him up on the baseball team

How you figgah?

When he was on the Animals show, he said UH was recruiting 2 QBs. One was a grayshirt type (Alo?) and one was a transfer, but not from a JC.

Per Tsai's blog they specifically called out that Alo hasn't met all the requirements to attend UH yet, so I don't think it's him.

But will younger brother want to go where his older brother left?

Steele is apparently turning heads at Iowa and is second in the charts for starting QB after 10 short weeks of Spring training. How he does in the fall camp could be a big ticket for his younger brother to follow in his footsteps.

In football, Iowa St is to Iowa, as Wazzu is to UDub, Utah St is to Utah, Idaho St is to Idaho :)

According to an Iowa St fan on another board August 20 is when they announce a starter and most fans want Steele.

As far as the QB we're looking at, did we get an answer yet or is this another tease that fades away?
