I can't wait to see this boy hit da field. I hope he can gain some more weight! He at about 245-260 would be awesome. Need to get Ikaika Alama-Francis or Tony Akpan on the line to this boy know how to put on some weight!
ON another note -- his granddaddy fred was not an olineman. He was actually a dominant Defensive lineman for the Redskins and then he went on to the 49ers.

There are two Fred Deans that played in the NFL. Desmond's grandfather is Fred Dean who played offensive line for the Redskins. Fred Dean of the Chargers and 49ers was a Hall of Fame defensive lineman.bigislandkurt wrote:I can't wait to see this boy hit da field. I hope he can gain some more weight! Believe it or not he was a DE at right around 200 lbs in texas.
Hopefully, he adds another 20 lbs by fall camp as he's gonna need quite a bit more weight to be an effective every down DE.

On paper, this kid looks great. 6 sacks and 20 qb hurries playing in one of the most competitive high school football districts in the country sounds really awesome. Since he was the anchor of the 4x100 team, he is both fast and reliable.SmugDude wrote:Believe it or not he was a DE at right around 200 lbs in texas.

I'm really looking forward to watching this group of young gray/red shirts play next year.
