The Wave
Re: The Wave
Sorry, but being "the guy" who starts the wave does not make you cool.
"ho bah, you seen how i wen staht da wave in da turd quatah? was mean, ah!"
no, it wasn't.
I was listening to 1420 when someone called in to grumble about the wave being started and how it caused her to miss a touchdown by Hawaii.

It was getting tiring doing it so much, but it was awesome, probably the longest wave I will see in my life

Re: The Wave
it was pretty funny though, 20+ times around the stadium! my friend and i were laughing cause it kept going around, and then we were like "kill it dammit, we are on offense!"
When in doubt, burn it down.

Re: The Wave
the fact that the wave went on as long as it did was pretty cool - i have no problem with that. there's just always some douchebags sitting down in the front that think that starting the wave makes them cool. doesn't matter that it takes them like 8 tries before it catches on. i've seen people start the wave while we are on offense, too. there are other ways to get attention, guys!
Re: The Wave
Sounds like you are mad you didn't start it lol

Re: The Wave
i was in the section that started it. the cheerleaders actually started it. they had a sign that said "WAVE" on it and they counted down to get everyone to do it.poidog wrote:the fact that the wave went on as long as it did was pretty cool - i have no problem with that. there's just always some douchebags sitting down in the front that think that starting the wave makes them cool. doesn't matter that it takes them like 8 tries before it catches on. i've seen people start the wave while we are on offense, too. there are other ways to get attention, guys!

What was funny was that the cheerlearders tried to stop the wave after a while, but it kept going.

Re: The Wave
Bwahahahahaha! If Hawaii keeps killing teams at home, they may need to put up some signs for the opposing teams fans in the parking lot and in the opposing teams locker room that reads: No lifeguards on duty, enter stadium at your own risk.AllsportfanHI wrote:Only reason da wave when stop was someone in da Idaho section when drown.

Re: The Wave
Sorry but, even though thats my time period, the Wave was such an 80s thing...are we like THE ONLY school that still does it?
Re: The Wave
I think they did the wave at Invesco when we went to the Broncos game the day after the UH/Colorado game. Chawan Cut, do you remember?SectionACrazy wrote:Sorry but, even though thats my time period, the Wave was such an 80s thing...are we like THE ONLY school that still does it?
