Re: Day 115 – Greg Salas
Greg has a chance to be the best wr in the country. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets drafted in the first 3 rounds next April. The kid has all the tools to be a star wr!
Re: Day 115 – Greg Salas
13 games.
I am going with 91 receptions, 16 TDs this year.

Re: Day 115 – Greg Salas
Does anyone know what his 40 time is??
Re: Day 115 – Greg Salas
not sure, but if he runs a sub 4.6 on pro day he'll get drafted.couchqb wrote:Does anyone know what his 40 time is??
Re: Day 115 – Greg Salas
I think it matters more that he runs sub 4.6 at the combine as Pro Day numbers always seem to get discounted.
That said, to go in the top three rounds he's going to need to be at 4.5 or better. Good case in point is Jordan Shipley out of Texas who went in the third round and ran a sub 4.47 at the combines. Granted Salas is a little bigger at 6'2 - 200 vs 6'0 - 190, but I think it's a good bench mark for a high production slot receiver.

Do you know if Shipley's time was digital or hand-timed?SmugDude wrote:I think it matters more that he runs sub 4.6 at the combine as Pro Day numbers always seem to get discounted.

Re: Day 115 – Greg Salas
Greg's 40 time isn't what's hurting him the most, its the draft class he is in. Greg is going to struggle to be drafted period if this elite junior class decides to declare.
Re: Day 115 – Greg Salas
I believe that was the combine time for Shipley so it was electronically timed.
That said, I've heard the turf at Lucas Oil field is a lot faster than the old RCA Dome which was notorious for taking a tenth or two off guy's forties.
