A 2008 graduate of St. Louis School in Honolulu, O`ahu...a three-year starter at defensive tackle for the Crusaders...helped lead squad to back-to-back league titles and state runner-up finishes in 2006 and '07...an all-state first-team selection as a senior...also a two-time all-league pick, including first-team honors in 2007...rated as one of the top-five recruits in the state of Hawai`i...ranked 34th best defensive tackle recruit in the nation by Rivals.com and a three-star recruit by Scout.com...also lettered in track, participating in both the discus and shot put.
