Anyone know how much Alema weighs now?
Anyone named best lineman for two years in a row at Kahuku gotta be skilled.

Where is this guy? Are they keeping him with the LB's or the DL? Word was they were going to put him in the mix of LB's? But he does have skills......Grinch wrote:Anyone know how much Alema weighs now?

I said it before, I thought this guy was a steal and was going to be an amazing piece to UH's defense. I know Paipai was (and rightfully so) the top of this recruiting class, but, I felt that Alema was a steal and a sleeper. I hope I'm right

i thought i read somewhere that no matter how hard he tried he couldn't get heavy enough for DL so they are having him learn OLB.......i could be wrong though
Re: Day 52– Reid "Alema" Tachibana
215 is even a little light for a LB these days.ImuaWarrior wrote:Where is this guy? Are they keeping him with the LB's or the DL? Word was they were going to put him in the mix of LB's? But he does have skills......Grinch wrote:Anyone know how much Alema weighs now?

Yes during spring, he worked out with the LBs. I think it is a great fit. He seems a little uncomfortable though because it's new to him. But his HS coach told me he was the star at Kahuku in his mind because of his game speed. Lets get him to learn the LB position well and put that speed on the field on game days. To start just throw him in for blitzes. It could be fun to watch.

he still has a lot of upside, he just needs to get his reps and keep working out!
