There's also a spring prospectus available.
I thought Austen Hansen was Moniz' backup...
What happened with him?
You mean Shane Austin?

Umm.......he beat SJSU by 7 last year and threw 3 picks against Boise State. That's about all anyone needs to know.

Yeah, I think he's a kid we can rely on to come in and beat some of the lower level WAC teams but it remains to be seen if he's ready for the big boys.

Warriors have some work to do, summer training will be pivotal for team's success this season. Coach Tommy has been making a difference with the players, it seems.

Nice to see the units gelling on both sides of the ball; lot of spunk out there.....good to see some fans in the stands at Ching today....

GO WARRIORS

Thanks for the updates. :D I'm surprised Rausch is so low on the depth chart. It'll be interesting to see if he can move his way up to at least #2 before the end of spring ball.

No I think he meant Austin Hansen. Most people don't know he was a QB in high school and has a rifle arm. I heard he is going to try to cut his weight from 295 to 235 by fall camp and switch from LT to QB and compete with Moniz for the position

Finally had a chance to see the 2010 team in person. Let me say that Moniz is doing everything a starting QB should do : He is the first to high five and chest bump receivers who catch tough balls for him and even when someone else made a tough throw. I have even seen him do this for the defense when they make a interception. He is showing great leadership at the helm. The only thing which would force another QB to be in the mix is the long ball. Moniz's arm is still suspect and his long pass invites interceptions. That opens the door for David Graves who is looking better with each snap.

strange. The Star Bulletin said that there was only one TD thrown during the scrimmage period.

That RWR position will be by committee all season long in 2010. BRS and Pollard are both too good to not have on the field.

Day 3:
Moniz went 8 for 8 during the 7 on 7 period; and 4 for 4 on the 11 on 11 team period. If the pass protection improves over the past two season, he'll surprise a lot of nay-sayers.

Bottom line, the past two season, whoever was the QB was pretty much under pressure all game long.

i agree. Clearly the naysayers didn't make the effort to go spring practice. It was also obvious to me that Moniz was much better than anyone else out there on Sat.
