Welcome to Sportshawaii "USO 864". Do any of the UH coaches know about Adam's great interest in Hawaii? If they don't, then you or Adam should contact one of the coaches by phone or e-mail about him.

Here's the directory to the UH coaching staff. http://www.hawaiiathletics.com/coaches. ... =football&

With all the family ties he has with former UH Warrior players, I'm sure they'll be very interested in him.

I like to put his name on the list but, I need some kind of news article or recruiting website listing that Adam is showing interest in Hawaii. Do you have anything that indicates his interest?

Mahalo.

Regarding DL prospect Jeff Worthy....now ranked 12th top college prospect in the OC by the OC Register
http://www.ocvarsity.com/sections/artic ... 7&id=19428

All-CIF Southern Section Mid Valley Division 1st Team DL http://www.cifss.org/admin/images/other ... 202009.pdf as well as named to All-State Small School 1st Defense by Cal-Hi Sports.com. http://myespn.go.com/blogs/calhisports/ ... hools.html

http://www.ocvarsity.com/sports/worthy- ... unday.html
Worthy might have already surprised some in recruiting circles. Last week, he earned a scholarship offer from Coach June Jones' SMU program.

Worthy also is attracting interest from several other strong programs. He lists SMU, TCU and UCLA as his three choices but also has medium interest in USC, Notre Dame, Hawaii, Iowa, Nebraska and Arkansas.

Notre Dame and Hawaii have expressed interest in visiting Worthy in May.

Defensive Line

One of the prospects that had big questions on him heading into the day was Whittier Christian defensive lineman Jeff Worthy. At the end of the day, you can see why he got an offer from SMU recently. He looked in shape and displayed good moves in the position drills all day. His recruiting will take off during the spring.

04/29/10 - LOS ANGELES -- Here is a look at the strong showings on defense from the USC Nike Football Training Camp Sunday.

DEFENSIVE LINE

NIKE Coaches' DL MVP: Greg Townsend Jr., 6-3, 260, Beverly Hills (Beverly Hills, Calif.)
Best College Prospect: Antwaun Woods, 6-0.5, 324, Taft (Woodland Hills, Calif.)
Strongest DL (NIKE Combine verified): Luke Wood, 6-3.5, 228, El Dorado (Placentia, Calif.), 40-feet power ball throw.
Highest SPARQ Rated DL: Luke Wood, 6-3.5, 228, El Dorado (Placentia, Calif.), 81.87
Sleeper Who Emerged: Jeff Worthy, 6-3, 272, Whittier Christian (La Habra, Calif.)

Jeff Worthy is making a name for himself. He showed good pass rushing skills and the ability to diagnose blocking schemes. Took a lot of reps in one-on-ones and showed a great motor. Worthy is the type of grinder coaches want on the front line. SMU offered and Worth has UCLA, TCU, Hawaii and USC on his short list.

UH better make that home visit to Jeff real soon since Nebraska just offered....and UCLA appears next

UH is recruiting linebacker Connor Crowell.

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/recrui ... _to_m.html
Crowell attracted plenty of attention last season as he made 100 tackles, intercepted four passes and had four sacks as the Eagles had an undefeated regular season.

Crowell holds eight scholarship offers and visited half of those schools this spring, taking trips to Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio State and West Virginia.

Rutgers, Duke, Connecticut and Hawaii also have offered and - although it might seem more cost efficient to make an official, college-paid visit - Crowell said he plans to visit Hawaii this summer. His parents are from the islands and he has a cousin who is a graduate assistant coach there.

Well Kapakahi,

Jeff Worthy received an offer from Boise State last night. He now has offers from SMU, Nebraska, Washington State, Boise State and the list is growning. Notre Dame, UCLA, TCU, Iowa, and Arizona State are all showing very strong interest.
