Probably my dad's favorite UH player.

"Levi's Kanaka Army" or something like that, remember?

Levi Stanley - now there's a blast from the past.

Levi was an animal. And he wasn't that big, maybe 250. But he had strength, quickness, heart and smarts...............and he took that spirit and dominance to the WFL.

His fan club was "Levi's Kanaka Army. I'm surprised they weren't mentioned. They used to sit in the Ewa endzone of the Old Honolulu Stadium. I think they even had a shirt.

Stanley was an incredible defensive tackle who made a lot of plays. He also made the other tackle, who was Paul "Sumo" Lee much more effective. If Stanley played against today's passing offenses, he would have had a lot of sacks.

I was a teammate of Levi's and I saw from the field him putting the hurt on players no matter what team.
If you mention Paul Lee then you also have to mention one other player with huge heart and playing ability, Simeon Alo.
