- Played 2 seasons on the Defensive Line at the College of San Mateo
- In the 1st Qtr in his first ever football game, Ray had a sack for -4 yards
- Chose Hawaii over San Jose State, UNLV, Fresno State, New Mexico, Washington, Utah, San Diego State, Oregon State and Louisville.

- Greyshirted. Enrolled in Spring 2005

Prep:
- 2004 Graduate of Westmoor High School in Daly City , Calif
His school did not have a football team
Lettered in basketball and track and field (where he was a standout at shot put and the discus)
Earned most inspirational honors in basketball

Personal:
Raymond Emanuel Hisatake of Daly City, CA. was born on Sept. 18, 1986...has four brothers, Chephas, Wesley and Kenneth Hisatake and Jonah Meafua, and two sisters, Grace Gardner and Melody Hisatake...parents are Tauava and Wesley Hisatake of Daly City, Calif.

Fun Facts:
- When he showed up at San Mateo College, he didn’t know how to put on any of the pads and didn’t know what position he was going to try out for.
- Former JC Teammates with formers Warriors Francis Maka & Calvin Roberts and current Warrior David Hafoka
- His Japanese surname comes from his great-great grandfather who moved from Japan to Samoa. His wife was Samoan.
- Related to Joe Hisatake, a heralded running back from Damien Memorial School in the late 1960s

Is it my imagination, or do some of these guys lose an inch or two by the end of their UH playing days?
I could have sworn that Hisatake came in at 6'4" :D :o

Ray should wear his hair up like - what's his name - the boxing promoter with the funky hair.
Ray would go as 6'5, 320 lbs (5 lbs just for the hair) :lol:

Expecting big things from this big man. IMO our starting offense line will be very big and very good. Hisatake had a lot of hype when he transfered, now that he has a chance he can live up to the hype.
