Just wondering if a tailgate party is planned for the UH - UNLV game the following week?

We are planning on doing something prior to the game. Probably in the open field across the street from the P-Lot in the park. My friend from pipeline2paradise.com lives in Vegas so he will be kind of trying to organize things. We will let you guys know when it gets closer. We were planning something like the Seattle one but we decided not too. We will post a map and contact numbers when it gets closer.

are any of the proceeds going to the Hawaii football program (Nakoa, etc.)?

The goal is to help as much youth as possible. A portion will be donated to the speed and quickness camp but here is the main purpose of the event.

Proceeds from this event, will be used to create a scholarship fund for young athletes for young athletes to attend.

The fund will be used to help these athletes defray costs for sports camps or clinics.

The following selection standard will be followed prior to issuing these scholarships: (the below standard is subject to change). Applications will be available in the fall at www.islandsportsmedia.com.

1. Application (17 years old and younger)
2. Athletes must submit their report card for review.
3. A Short Essay (example, why is education important in sports?)

After the athlete submits all necessary documents, our selection committee will make the final determination on who will received the scholarship.
