Attended Fresno City College in California for one year...team’s starting quarterback as a freshman in 2007...threw for 2,268 yards and 18 touchdowns in his freshman season....also rushed for two touchdowns.
Prep:
A 2007 graduate of Leilehua High School in Wahiawa, Oahu...three-year starter at quarterback for the Mules...as a sophomore passed 2,879 yards and 27 touchdowns while leading the team to state championship game....played in just 13 quarters in an abbreviated junior season...still threw for 1,018 yards ...threw for 1,662 yards, 20 touchdowns an all-state selection as a senior...an all-state soccer player his senior season...also participated in baseball.

Born in Wahiawa, Oahu...nickname is “Mo”...major is undecided...has two younger brothers...parents are Tina and Steven Smithe

Very impressive in spring scrimmage. His passing percentage would have been closer to 100% had it not been for the three dropped catch able passes by the receivers. He looked comfortable in the pocket and had the ability to run and juke tacklers. Great arm. I think he should push for backup. Watch this kid excel next year.
