Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Melvin "Tank" Hopkins
Re: Day 10 – Melvin "Tank" Hopkins
I don't think Tank is quite right for him. Should be "bullet" or something like that. He is compact and fast. Tanks are big and slow. But whatever it is I hope he does well and enjoys his time with us.
GO WARRIORS !!! PLAY HARD!!!!

Agree. How did he get his nickname? If he were here and in the 1970's, I can see a smaller guy with the nickname if he can "tank" them beers.dakineguy wrote:I don't think Tank is quite right for him. I heard a story about when he was little he used to always knock things down around his house. That's the reason his mom nicknamed him Tank.Duster wrote:Agree. How did he get his nickname? Anyways, he should see a lot of time at CB for us. He might be undersized, like Lewis and Newberry were two years ago, but he has great speed and should make a lot of plays on the ball.

you don't know what your'e talking about. As a retired NCO/19K40 type, M1A1 tanks are not slow; their big and fast; and "they'll shoot your eye out" Iraqi armor decimated is proof enough.
