2 Reasons why:
1. UTEP is no longer in the WAC. As far as I'm concerned, once the WAC season ended, so did their membership.
While I see the reasoning, I was reading all the MAC trash-talk, saying how the MAC is so much stronger than the WAC. Thus far, MAC is 0-2 in their bowls (Toledo and Miami (Ohio) went down). With a UTEP win, the WAC is 3-0.

The MAC going 0-2 so far is just hilarious!!! Now if the PAC-10 gets the same treatment, I'll be one happy Poke fan.Islander wrote:The808Fringe wrote:GO BUFFS!!

Ya know, I just can't get my computer to post a "quote" (in the separate box) when replying. Oh well.
It would be nice if the Pac 10 falters too. But Oregon St. dominated the Irish (as the Irish continue their descent), and USC and Cal look tough.
The MWC is off to a pretty good start with the Wyoming win.

I completely forgot about the Beavs win over the Irish. Notre Dame royally deserves it!Islander wrote:It would be nice if the Pac 10 falters too. But Oregon St. dominated the Irish (as the Irish continue their descent), and USC and Cal look tough.
Not bad for a team that was picked to finish dead LAST in the MWC!The MWC is off to a pretty good start with the Wyoming win.
Everyone in my home state is still probably walking around in a complete daze (if you get my meaning).

I like that lineup. Plus, both of our schools could restart the Paniolo Trophy series again (1979-97).Islander wrote:Yo Wyokie. I'm sure this has already been discussed, but wouldn't MWC fans want to see a conference with Wyoming, Utah, Colorado St., BYU, Boise St., Fresno St., and Hawaii.
Add Nevada and UNLV as Hawaii fans love the road trips.
