I didn't include him because, he will be grayshirting in 2009 and enrolling at UH in 2010. In other words, he's actually a 2010 recruit.

I'll move him over to the 2010 recruiting list to avoid confusion.

BTW! There is still a slight possibility that he might be joining UH in 2009 but, it's more than likely it will be in 2010. This, according to his father when I last conversed with him.

4-star JC WR, Edgard Theliar commits to FIU.

Scout.com list his commit as a Soft verbal.

Here's what a poster named WOOAH on the WSN said about Theliar committing to FIU.

RE: Hawaii offers JC WR Edgard Theliar

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Being from Florida is a factor. But not a important one. He has a friend that goes to College of the Desert and his friend told a friend of mine that hawaii is not even calling him anymore. Edgard's friend said that Edgard said that he was calling almost every single day back to back to back and coach stutts never picked up his phone. That sucks he said that Edgard was even calling Brent Rausch to try and see what was going on. Brent was doing the best he can but Edgard havent heard from UH since even before he enrolled to Butler. His friend said that is the reason he only gave a soft verball mainly because it's early and he doesnt know what's going on. But as for not thinking he's going to get playing time i do not think he thinks like that. He isn't a 4* for nothing i feel he can go anywhere right now if he works his but off like i hear he does everyday in pratice and if not start get major minutes.

When Gary Dickman asked ST if there were any other prospects on the Silverado team, ST replied a lot of them, or something like that. Maybe there's more than just the 3 we know about from the same team. I don't know. Image

Did you see a couple of players decided to grayshirt and join the team in January 09? One of them is one of the Laurels.
Substance matters.

I knew I forgot something. Thanks for refreshing my memory DC. Art Laurel and Earvin Sione will be grayshirting and enroll in January. I'll add their names shortly. :D

Heavy on the LB/DEs, already have a QB and WRs, probably need to be looking at OL and DTs, perhaps some DBs.

Yes, yes, yes. Especially some OL and more CBs than safeties.

According the Stephen Tsai, John Manu-Olevao (6'3'', 310lb OLine out of Kahuku '07) will be reporting in the Spring '09.
He is currently at West Oahu College and should have 3 years to play 3

Bigwave.
Do you have a link on where he said that?

Do you also have a link for the post you put up on the 2008 recruiting thread?
Looks like you can move Bryant Moniz and Matt Kiel to walk on in the Spring 2009 (according to Stephen Tsai)

This is from the post-gazette.com. If true would love to see UH find a way to get these guys to come back home and play for UH. Might me a long shot but someone like Finau could make a great impact on our D Line.

Much is made of the Mountaineers’ recruiting the past seven-plus months, what with 14 oral commitments for 2009 already, yet here is a cautionary tale for folks who place wayyyyyy too much attention, time and money on the pursuit of 18-, 19- and 20-year-olds:
Eight of West Virginia’s 26 signees aren’t here.
More than a few may never come to campus.
Missing are: junior-college defensive end Tevita Finau, who needs four more credits to graduate Phoenix College and aims to report to West Virginia in January; and offensive lineman Benji Kemoeatu, brother of Steelers guard Chris, who is headed the junior-college route, possibly in Arizona at Mesa. So long as Chris remains in Pittsburgh, that gives Benji a sure reason to come to West Virginia. . . but their other brother, Ma’ake, plays for Carolina nowadays and a move by either NFL brother could conceivably lure Benji into following them elsewhere.
