5 bowl games listed now for WAC teams, and with the Hawaii win tonight, that makes only 4 wac teams eligible for post season games. According to ESPN
Hawaii Bowl Hawaii v. UAB
EV1 Net Houston Bowl UTEP v Pac10
MPC Computer Bowl: Fresno State v Virginia
Liberty Bowl Boise State v louisville
Silicon Valley Bowl WAC v MAC
good year and some good recognition for the WAC, if we could only qualify another team

Re: A WAC first
That can't happen! Only 4 teams from the WAC qualified to play in bowl games. The Silicon Valley Bowl will have no WAC representative this year.Rabidfanman wrote:5 bowl games listed now for WAC teams, and with the Hawaii win tonight, that makes only 4 wac teams eligible for post season games. Isn't the SVC bowl considered the bowl the WAC champ goes to?Sportsbow wrote:That can't happen! Only 4 teams from the WAC qualified to play in bowl games. Re: A WAC first
MPC Computer (formerly Humanitarian) Bowl was, I thought. The opponent shows it this year. 8-3 Virginia is a bigtime opponent for a WAC bowl game.warriorfan808 wrote:Isn't the SVC bowl considered the bowl the WAC champ goes to?Sportsbow wrote:That can't happen! The SVC is more likely to get Oregon State or UCLA. Both 6-5.
Re: A WAC first
No! There are no set WAC bowl that the champs have to go to. It's a play-it-by-ear scenario.warriorfan808 wrote: Isn't the SVC bowl considered the bowl the WAC champ goes to?
LTech this year is a perfect example of why you don't bite off more than you can chew.
@Miami L 48-0
@Tennessee L 42-17
@Auburn L 52-7
Final record 6-6
I think 2 powerhouses may be just within reason. 3 is just suicide, unless you're just that good.
Then again, with those 6 wins and all other eligible WAC teams spoken for, could they possibly still get the SVC?
