In addition to his knee not being ready, Nate Ilaoa came into camp out of shape and overweight (240ish). He also had a recurring shoulder problem and had surgery on it early in the season. Hopefully he gets his knee, shoulder and weight taken care by next fall. If he is good to go, he is very explosive and a major threat either as a slot or running back.

I dont think he's travelled all season. I think they made up their minds early that he wouldnt play, he's been in street clothes all year at home. It's a good bet that #4 is he's unless he wants to change it.

not sure if this was posted before, but I heard Nate is going to play RB next season to replace Pearman.

Jones said that he's gonna consider playing Nate at RB instead of the slot.

It's probably far from a done deal. Especially with the return of Mike Bass, and guys like Lataseu, Stickler and cole available. If he sticks at the slot, at least there's one returning starting slotback, (with Owens, Welch and Poumele done).

i'd rather have him at slot again, esp. if pearman was still on the team.

When he was recruited out of HS he was 5'9'', 180lbs...
This season at his max he was 260 lbs...
That's 80 lbs in 1 year....
You guys think Welch is Fat... Gerald is 5'8'' 210lbs..
I don't see Nasty getting back into slot back shape but could do some damage at RB...
