The defense is weak, the passing game is not threatening, and the most creative offensive play is what? Fake punt? I do remember when Von Appen was here, and I appreciate what Jones did to resurrect the program(he keeps reminding us), but can he sustain the program? This is the biggest beef I have against this squad, its beginning to look like Wagners team after the Holiday Bowl team.
Get someone from the old regime to bring back the D. Dick Tomey(He might be out of job because Texas lost to Oklahoma) or Rich Ellerson would be a fine fit here. "Hell in Paradise" would be resurrected.
Stop screwing around with tradition. We adopt a new logo, and what? The football team goes 3-12. We adopt recorded music, and what? 3-? If Jones wants to create tradition, start winning consistently.
Changs record? Full of poop. Lot of yards but, lack of efficiency. Its like comparing a machine gun vs. a sniper. With a machine gun you hit a target(wins) eventually but leave a lot mess(yardage). This run and shoot needs to be reevaluated. Think like Paul Johnson, look at what he's done with far less talent.
