What happens to Norm Chow in '14?
Some folks are saying that if we start off this season like we did the previous 2, NC gets canned before the season is out. What say you?

Just curious, why do you think this? Given competition is tough again this year, I think he gets 4-5, but I also think he needs a bowl game to save his job.warriorfan70 wrote:will win six games or more
Substance matters.
Re: What happens to Norm Chow in '14?
dumb poll
Re: What happens to Norm Chow in '14?
I voted for a winning season.
I think Norm Chow has been humbled these past two seasons.
Hawaii has a lot going for it. It's about time coach recognizes it for what it is.

DCWarrior:
I just think we are top heavy with some good seniors this year, Norm Chow seem to accept Mack's recruits as part of the team and not finding ways to run them off, and on the other hand Mack's recruits are buying in and knows this is their last chance to win games. Lastly, I think Norm has made some great coaches changes and if (a big if) we can get a 10% improvement from our defense this year we will all right. As you know our Offense clearly done enough to win six or more games last year, but our defense could not stop a snail climbing a hill (smile). Of course, This is my humble/personal Opinion. Keep Joey in good health and we will get 5 wins on his back

I predict a 4-5 win season, which might save his job.

Remember, for the third consecutive year, we have many QB's in the mix, but we don't have a QB. This is not good. We will be breaking in a new QB with the likes of Udub and OSU.
Our first five games:
Washington
Oregon State
Northern Iowa
Colorado
Rice
Wyoming
Just so you all know, Northern Iowa beat Iowa State last year. In other words, they are no push over. At least our first 3 games are at home. We have come to accept that in the Chow era, wins or potential wins are never as promising as they once were in other eras.

Ok, I'll get this started early. Washington is a MUST WIN game.

At least 6-7 with Hawaii Bowl berth and saves his job. If this happens - everyone should be happy!!!

Predict a 4 win season. Three at home and one on the road. Wins at home: Northern Iowa, Wyoming and UNLV. One win on the road: Colorado State.
