Mark Takai was not only a letterman for the University of Hawaii, but later a true champion for the people of Hawaii. RIP Brother

He was a big supporter of UH athletics. He will be missed in many different ways.

On the lighter side, he continuously denied being the mascot:
He was ASUH President at the time the marshmallow man was unveiled. He was a good sport about it. Devoted his life to public service. RIP.

Congressman Takai paid respects to my family when my mother passed away 2 years ago....He announced his health problems in May...gone July....way too young.

August 19, 2016 will be the services for Mark Takai in Kaneohe....services are open to the public...burial will be private.
