HONOLULU—University of Hawai'i Rainbow Warrior baseball's incoming infielder Josh Rojas was named to the Perfect Game Summer Collegiate All-America Team as a second team selection after starring for the Southern California Catch and later the Cotuit Kettleers.

Rojas (6-1, 180, Litchfield Park, Ariz.), a possible replacement for graduated second baseman Steven Ventimilia, will join the Rainbow Warriors for his first season in fall 2015. Rojas finished among the California Collegiate League (CCL) hitting leaders, playing 22 games for the Catch with a .411 batting average, registering 11 doubles and three home runs, with 21 RBI and 20 runs. For his efforts, Rojas was named a CCL All-Star.

The incoming UH junior was later selected to join the Cotuit Kettleers in their attempted run to close out the year with a title in the acclaimed Cape Cod Baseball League playoffs, taking on many of the nation's best for five games.

On Wednesday, officials from Perfect Game added another notch to Rojas' outstanding summer, naming him for second-team Summer Collegiate All-America honors.

Rojas and the Rainbow Warriors will begin classes at UH Manoa on August 24th, with fall team practices starting in October at Les Murakami Stadium.
