Prep: A 2015 graduate of Punahou School in Honolulu, O‘ahu…lettered three years in volleyball, one in basketball…volleyball team won league and state titles in 2012 and state again in 2014…named 2014 Under Armour All-American…voted the 2014 Gatorade State Player of the Year…named 2014 Star-Advertiser All-State Player of the Year honors…2014 Punahou Female Athlete of the Year…played for ‘Imi ‘Ike Volleyball Club.

Casey Castillo, 6-3 OH

Prep: A 2015 graduate of Santa Fe Christian Schools in Solana Beach, California…lettered four seasons in indoor volleyball…a four-year member of Wave Volleyball Club…named to Prepvolleyball.com Top 50 Class of 2015 prospect list.

Annie Mitchem 6-3 MB

Prior to UH: Redshirted her true freshman year before playing two stand-out seasons at Irvine Valley College in Irvine, Calif….was named the AVCA’s Two-Year College National Player of the Year in both 2013 and ’14…also earned AVCA All-America, all-region, all-state, and all-league honors in both seasons…in her freshman season, she helped lead the Lasers to a 24-2 overall record and their first State Championship since 2009 …in the 2013 championship match, she recorded a team-high 20 kills with eight blocks and a .444 hitting percentage…was named conference Player of the Year in her first year ending the season ranked first in hitting percentage (.436) and blocks per set (1.61) while placing second in kills (309) and third in kills per set (3.64) as IVC went a perfect 14-0 in conference play…was just the second player from the California Community College Athletics Association to be named the AVCA College Player of the Year…as a sophomore, the six rotation middle hitter ended the season as the nation’s leader with a .517 hitting percentage and was fourth in blocks per set (1.24)…was third on the team with 2.46 digs per set…the Lasers went a perfect 27-0…in the state championship game, she buried 24 kills, hit .488 while tallying six solo blocks and seven digs en route to being voted the state tournament MVP…named the Irvine Valley College Female Athlete of the Year…was coached by former Hawai‘i men’s volleyball All-American, Tom Pestolesi.

Prep: A 2012 graduate of Friendswood High School in Texas…earned all-state first team honors as a senior.

Natasha Burns, 6-5 MB

Prep: A 2015 graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic Secondary School in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada…helped U18 team to a fourth place finish at Canadian Nationals…a member of the St. Mary’s basketball team, helping them to a 2012 championship title and 2013 AAA Ontario Federation of Schools Athletic Associations title…four year honor-roll student.

Olivia Maquil

No mention in her Bios of being an Honorable Mentioned AA. Last year the BWC had 4 Honorable Mention All-Americans: 3 seniors, Hinger from CSUN, Okpala and Mackie from LBSU and Olivia Maquil a junior.
