Basebows 2015: Game 3 Bows Whupp Oregon Ducks 10-1

Sunday at Murakami. Huge crowd, might be another sellout. Absolutely
picture perfect day, not a cloud in the sky, hardly a breeze but not hot
or cold, nicest day for baseball we've seen in years.

Saturday night the Basebows lost a heartbreaker 3-2, with bases loaded
bottom of the ninth 1 away and could not scratch a run across to tie or win.

me? i was worried that might have been a back breaker for the new team.
But obviously not, once basebows learned they could play Oregon Ducks
up and up? They came out swinging on Sunday, and boy oh boy, did they!
Sent four ducks pitchers to the showers in 3 innings. Batted the order twice
in the first 3 innings, leadoff for UH (Matt) was up for his 4th time in the 4th
inning! Don't see that too often.

And starting pitcher for UH? LJ Brewster #22. LJ always had low-90 heat,
but last year was our 3rd string 3rd baseman. Today he started and he
looked good. Trap totally switched the lineup, leadoff today was Conner
#4 and Stephen Ventimila did not play. Stephen about as good as you
can get at 2nd base or at the plate? The fact that Trap could leave SV
on the bench for this game just shows our depth of talent this year.

Truth be told? LJ looked good on the hill, but the Bows got so many runs
so early just about anyone on the hill would have been firing w/confidence.

Cody in relief of LJ that really wasn't needed. Pretty good defense all day.
Bows got 5 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning, and 3 more in the bottom
of the 2nd. That was pretty much all she wrote for this game, Ducks did get
1 run top of the sixth but Bows answered with two more in the bottom of the
sixth, so that was the ballgame 10-1 UH. WOW! Officially 14 hits for UH today.

Hate to say i told ya' so, but this team is solid and seeing the bats come
alive today was really nice testimony to the talent Trap has for us this year.
