Matt Cooper Deserved The Win

Post by GoBows2014 »

1st game of 3 against Big West for Cal Poly
Matt Cooper on the hill, sure deserved the win tonight

Great night at Murakami, almost no breeze, a little cool,
only once did manoa mist get serious enough to bring
out the 'shoot for a few minutes. only once, not bad.

fairly good defense and offense on both sides all night,
but Matt Cooper on the hill for UH, always fun to watch.

good pitching most of the night.*great* pitching 'most
every inning. and then those "wop ur jaw" WOW!
pitches? yeah it was on OC16, u should watch it. but,
when Matt is on the hill? It is always good, and gets
better, and then there are those moments that just
defy description. in defense of lack of vocabulary
to describe just how good those pitches were?

Let's just cover *two* of those magnificent smokin'
strokes by #33 tonight. First two innings, good throws
most of the way, i remember a couple of 7 or 8 pitch
innings in there. 'but it was the close of the 2nd inning,
tough batter at the plate, and Matt threw *nasty1*,
then *nasty2*, then *nasty3*. OMG! Heck yeah,
called 3rd, SEE YA! i cant describe that closing pitch
but it was not in the ballyard and batter never even
clenched or lifted the bat off his shoulder. how the
heck that pitch got to the strike zone? but it did!
'magnifique!!'

but wait, there's more! Studious strikeouts, easy
outs, most good pitching by Matt that is always
fun to watch. But wait, it gets better! 2nd out
of the 4th inning. Another tough batter. and when
#33 gets serious about *CalPoly* ? at the plate?
this was some serious *smokin* stuff. Poor batter.
*WAAAY* ahead on the 1st pitch. laughably bad.
then *waaaay* late on the next one!! HA HA HA!
oh sh*t. even the cal poly dugout is laughing!
but the 3rd pitch?
wow
that was the jaw dropper
not even cal poly pitching coach or real coach?
or even half UH BaseBows Team or staff had
seen this newest nasty. Poor batter froze. and
then some. so did half the stadium.

But Big Bro Blu at the plate tonight? Called it
tight, called it right! Rang the batter up on one
of *the* nastiest pitches in college bball now!

Sooo, if OC16 doesn't do it justice (and kudos
to OC16 for the ceremonial pitch to start tonite)
Matt Cooper on the hill tonight. Pitched a great
game and should have won. We gave away a
few while my little league buddy was showing
me stats on his tablet about his *dad* the
pitcher. Sorry i lost my focus, and tonight?
Matt *deserved* the win.
