Murakami: Best 4 Baseball

Post by GoBows2014 »

Yes, Les and Dottie, *best* for baseball.
And Murakami Stadium perfect for games like tonight.
Cool, and not much breeze. Not a drop of rain all night.
But great baseball, inning after inning.
Crowd was into it. Lots of little league guys helped.

Stephen Ventemilia, leading off again? First man up,
first man on, and first run on the board!

And yup, that was it, a 1-0 ball game! But it wasn't on Oceanic,
and the box scores might not show it, but it was a great baseball
game, great night for baseball.

My bad? Maybe or not, giving up a couple first row seats to a pair
of little league guys, Lee and Matthew. They are ball players, know
most of the UH lineup, appears they had about a 3-day quota of
sugar. Oh, and it was *megaphone* night. Kids are still soprano,
but yelling out UHBB players names, they knew most of the lineup.
Wow. They were up and down every inning, barely sat down,
yelling at the top of their lungs all the time. Gotta' love it.

Kudos to Marc Flores and the UH boyz that grinned, smiled, sent
shakas up...man the kids were incessant! But one of the foul balls
in the stands, late innings. You know that crowd, mostly old folks,
but my buddies amped on sugar and front row seats? Matthew
(Watanabe) hustles up all the rows and scores the foul ball!!

Wow! Showed him the NCAA logo, he and his buddy showed me
the "Big West", both proving it was a live game ball, he got it!
Had plenty of friends and family whooping it up. But pretty cool,
to view UHBB thru the eyes of a couple of 9-year old ball players.

Yeah ,they were back later. I couldn't run that many laps up and
down those concrete stairs. But Murakami Stadium was home to
a special kind of ball playing tonight. 'Bows won it 1-0, and it was
lots of fun and great baseball all night.

So yeah, the kids were leaving before the umps came in, so I
helped both kids out, showing the umps where the kids were for
the extra game balls in the pouch. So fun all the way, Matthew
got the *real* game ball, all the kids got NCAA/Big West balls,
and Murakami Stadium was host to a beautiful evening of great
baseball, and 'Bows win again, going on the road on a high note.

*perfect* night at Murakami stadium, missed u tonight Les : )
