UH Baseball defense

Post by HawaiianHogster »

Until they stop making eras they won't win many games. It is easy to see that one of our big hitters has forgotten how to hit the ball. He plays with his gloves more than he hits the ball. It is good that it is the beginning of the season. If they play defense like this towards the end of the season it would be a shame.

UH should have won the first game. They lost because of their defense.

I pick them last in their division until they prove otherwise.

Didn't they have the same problem last year with the defense? Plus their hitting was lacking. Oh well. Good luck to them. They will need it.

They continue to lose due to their defense. WOW! I bet UH could lose a game with a 10 run lead going into the 7th inning. The way UH is losing is disheartening. They play well enough to get the win but for some reason (Defense) allows the other team to get the win.

Some fans may be happy that UH is playing right with Oregon and not getting blown out except for the second game. I am disappointed with the defense and how they continue to lose games due to their lack of collegiate level play. Pathetic.

I won't waste anymore of my time watching them play if they continue to fail miserably.

By the end of the season if this team doesn't make it to the NCAAT, Coach Trap is done in my eyes.

This is Hawaii where you can bring in players that play all year long. If you can't win with that you might as well quit coaching.

Defense was terrible, hopefully they improve this week. I like our pitching, it will only improve as we get deeper in the season and get torres-costa back. Doi is on fire! I think flores should move back to 1st and put doi in the of.

well, for D? last couple games against Albany have been superb.

Fri night game, we turned 3 double plays. And Julienne Jones in
for Ventimila at 2nd? Did a total "Willie Mays" catch for an out
that robbed Albany and prevented a big run inning for NY. And
we won.

Saturday night, Squier on the hill, gave up six, yes SIX runs in
the first inning. No problem, no panic. Good hitting and great "D"
kept Hawaii in it, got them the tie, got them the lead, and the
win.

After that 6 run first inning, D only gave up ONE run. and 'Bows
win it. What a game, and superb defense. and a whole lotta'
heart, no quitters in the Rainbow dugout.

This will be a good year for the 'Bows!

Bows Fan out
