All-time Wahine V-ball team
Re: All-time Wahine V-ball team
The best back row Wahine I ever saw was Nalani Yamashita - hands down could ball. If there was a libero position during her years she should have been an All-American.

Is it likely that you haven't seen pugnacious Missy Yomes play OR perhaps 5.6 OH2, in 1989, Babes Kalulu_Cubi-Otineru on #1 UHM (who coincidentally played under the coaching of Missy's father--(on) Kamehameha VBC) ??My3Cats wrote:The best back row Wahine I ever saw was Nalani Yamashita - hands down could ball. I do remember Missy Yomes (and her father). But she was a six position player. I vaguely remember Babes Kalulu but she only played one season - was she a back row specialist or outside hitter? My post specifically mentioned back row.LoveTheDig wrote:Is it likely that you haven't seen pugnacious Missy Yomes play OR perhaps 5.6 OH2, in 1989, Babes Kalulu_Cubi-Otineru on #1 UHM (who coincidentally played under the coaching of Missy's father--(on) Kamehameha VBC) ??My3Cats wrote:The best back row Wahine I ever saw was Nalani Yamashita - hands down could ball. On a side note. I once played very briefly in a scrimmage against Missy, who promptly drilled a screamer past my very ineffective back row defense. I did not play in that set again after that.
