Kennedy, a junior at the University of Hawaii, and teammate Katrina Berry, a freshman, led the Rainbow Wahine to a team win in the Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference fall championship, hosted by USC in the Santa Barbara Harbor, defeating runner-up Stanford by 23 points. The duo had four top finishes in 12 races to win the A division with a regatta-low 26 point
