Game over. Hawaii wins 5-1 and advances to tomorrow's winners' bracket vs. BYU.

LaTech bombed Fresno. A LaTech player hit 3 HRs and had 11 RBI. Could be the end of the road for Coach Wright at Fresno. She annouced her retirement, and unless Fresno can come thru the Loser's bracket, Fresno won't make it to the Big Dance for the first time ever (they've been in every one since the beginning).

Softball team lost their first game of the day to BYU, 6-4, setting up an elimination game this afternoon with Fresno State, which emerged from the losers' bracket.

Right now, they're in the top of the third and Hawaii's taken a 6-0 lead on two three-run home runs, one each by Kliebenstein and by Majam. They've knocked Michelle Moses, FSU's ace, out of the circle, and are still batting with two outs left in the top of the third.

They need to win this game or they'll be eliminated. Win and they set up a rematch with BYU tomorrow morning.

Fresno answered with 4 runs of their own in the bottom half of the third. Chased Parnaby from the circle. Ricketts is now pitching.

Game is in the bottom of the 4th, with Hawaii still leading, 6-4.
